What if dogs aren't pack animals?

I wrote a couple of months back that people should keep their dogs on leads, and while I don’t think any of the miscreants on my walking route have changed their behaviour, I did get comments suggesting my column was “COMPLETELY littered with misinformation about dogs.”

Possum magic

Brushtail possums are also pests in New Zealand, where they kill them and make cardigans out of them. Here in Queensland, they’re native animals and you’re not allowed to harm them, although given the things they do at our place, it’s hard to tell the difference between them and pests.
